TERMS AND CONDITIONS

We at Akureyri e-bike tours insist that all our participants use helmets, the helmet is included in the price.

Participants must always prevent theft on the bike, the bike must be locked when the bike is parked or in storage, the lock is included in the price.

Prepare for all kind of weather when traveling to Iceland. Bring warm and weatherproof clothes, good shoes, gloves and hat/headband, glasses or sunglasses.

The bicycles must be handled well and returned in the same condition as when the bicycle was received.

Participants must never use bike when  under the influence. It is dangerous both to participants, others and your environment.

The participants have familiarized themselves with and know the rules and national laws that apply to the use of bicycles in Iceland.

It is forbidden to use smart devices while riding a bike, e.g. use of a smartphone.

A cyclist on a path, sidewalk, footpath or pedestrian street must give way to pedestrians. He must exercise extreme caution and not ride faster than he can get out of the way of passing pedestrians. He must give an audible signal when he approaches pedestrians if it is to be expected that they will not be aware of him.

Insurance is not included in the price of the trip. We encourage customers to obtain appropriate insurance, e.g. travel insurance, health insurance and liability insurance before visiting Iceland and before starting the trip.

Cycling involves personal risk and participants must ride responsibly. Participants should be healthy and active, no liability regarding the provision of medical care.

All trips are taken at the responsibility of the participants and the use of the bike is the responsibility of the participant, e.g. liability for damage, property or physical damage to third parties caused by the use of the bike. All trips are taken at the responsibility of the participants.

The participants have to notify immediately of any loss, damage or theft to the bike or equipment. Participants will be responsible for paying costs of repair or replacement for any such loss, damage or theft.
